After successfully thwarting the cataclysmic plans of Darkseid, Cummings Tatum (Jake Gyllenhaal), known to Gotham City as Batman, finds himself celebrated as the city's savior once again. In recognition of his heroics, Gotham's elite, including 23 billionaire men and women, gather for an extravagant party to honor Batman's bravery and dedication. However, the festivities are interrupted by the sudden appearance of a new threat: The Manhunters. Led by the enigmatic Martian Manhunter (Mahershala Ali) and his formidable ally Astabolt Manhunter (Eva Green), these advanced alien beings have arrived on Earth with a mission to cleanse the planet of all superpowered beings, whom they perceive as threats to galactic order.
