  • carsonruth Opening shot is of a rowdy wing of Arkham Asylum with a guard played by John C. Reilly walking down it. He is then stopped and seduced by Ivy. Hilarity ensues. Two-Face, Riddler, Ivy, Croc, and Scarecrow escape among other minor villains. Freeze attempts to escape but Nora would not escape so he stays behind. Bat Signal. Suit up Montage. Bruce visits the asylum. He notices that The Joker did not escape. They share a conversation where Batman interrogates him much to the dismay of the Joker's new therapist, Harleen Quinzell. The scene fades to black after Joker brings up explodey Robin and the Joker laughs and takes us out. Cut to Tim and Barbara holding off goons from robbing some citizens, Tim is flirting with Barbara and she is oblivious. Dick drops in on those 2 and it is obvious that Barbara has a thing for him, much to Tims dismay. The Batfamily reconvenes and they form a plan. Bruce sends each of his pupils after a villian. Tim goes after Riddler, Dick after Two-Face, Barbara after Ivy, and Bruce after Croc and Scarecrow. Batman visits a warehouse where SC was sited to investigate and track the villain down. He finds fear toxin and see’s it dripping down into the sewer. *He goes down and a very eerie horror like scene commences, low-light a couple fake out jumpscares. Eventually he is ambushed by KC and after a hard battle, he defeats him. Croc escapes. *Batman eventually tracks down Scarecrow, Batman somehow deals with fear toxin. Nightmare sequence of Joker brutalizing Jason and then Jason blowing up. Batman struggles with the fear toxin, however, he eventually beats Scarecrow and captures him. He also says “I’m Batman” at some point. After getting tipped off by a street thug, Tim Drake tracks down what he thinks is the riddler, but turns out just to be one of his infamous question mark trophies. *Tim is shown off as the great detective he is as he deciphers some riddles.* This arc climaxes with the Riddler thinking he has gotten the best of Tim, but Tim outsmarts him and captures him. Dick goes to a known safehouse for Two-face goons. He beats up a bunch of thugs until they reveal where their boss is. Dick is generally very acrobatic throughout these scenes.* Dick then finds Two-Faces office building, fights his way up a couple floors, showing off more of his athleticism. *He finds Two-Face at the top where he is nearly shot, but at the last second he dodges the bullet and it grazes his cheek, giving him a scar. He then apprehends Two-face. Barbara's job is easy, Ivy is already wrecking at a conservatory where she is building up her big plant monster. Barbara enters and has to fend off some different hostile vegetation. Eventually she finds Ivy at the center of the conservatory holding an unconscious man she is about to feed to her baby. A fight insues and Ivy gets the upper hand. She taunts Barbara, mainly about her unnoticed love for Dick Grayson. Who Ivy had kidnapped in the past and had her way with. Barbara takes advantage of her hubris to sweep her legs and capture her, she then calls in the rest of the team to deal with the plant monster. Everyone except Croc is returned to Arkham and Batman visits Joker one more time as credits roll.
