DC Cinematic Universe - Chapter 1: The New Frontier

The Batman has been protecting the streets of Gotham for a decade. With the help of his allies Robin and Batgirl, Bruce Wayne has made Gotham one of the safest cities in the country. Mayor-elect, Sebastian Hady, is found dead in his penthouse apartment. Commissioner James Gordon and Officer Harvey Bullock conclude Hady must have been hit with a large blunt object. Batman, however, comes up with a different conclusion. A string of attacks across Gotham by Firefly, Solomon Grundy, and Deadshot forces Batman, Robin, and Batgirl to separate. A fourth villain takes this opportunity to kill Gotham's district attorney Janice Porter. Dick Grayson, who is no longer Robin, joins the crew to investigate who is behind these killings. They eventually find Bane, a former prisoner of Pena Dura who came to take over Gotham using fear and an enhancement drug called Venom. Bane manages to weaken the Batman by getting other villains to preoccupy his time, giving Bane the opportunity to take him out of the picture. Robin, Batgirl, and Dick Grayson now need to fight again Bane themselves, without Batman at their sides.
