In Gotham, chaos erupts as Joker and Harley Quinn unleash terror across the city. Barbara Gordon aids Batman from behind the scenes until Joker targets her home, shooting her and leaving her paralyzed. Robin—Jason Todd—recklessly pursues Joker on his own and is captured. Despite Bruce’s efforts, Jason is tortured and killed in a warehouse explosion, leaving Batman consumed by grief. Alfred and Barbara, now transitioning into Oracle, try to reach Bruce as he grows more violent. He tracks Joker and Harley to an abandoned theater.
