Damian Wayne was the result of a union between Batman and Talia al Ghul, when Talia laced Batman with a drug that even he couldn't overcome in order to seduce him into producing and heir to the League of Assassins. Damian was grown in an artificial womb and trained gruellingly at a young age. When he was eight, Talia revealed Damian to his father and had him stay with him in order to disrupt his mission in Gotham. Little did Talia know that her son would end up joining Batman's side as the next, and current Robin.
