Ray Palmer is a physicist and professor who, with the help of a strange white dwarf star, is on the verge of an amazing discovery, that being matter compression as a means to fight overpopulation, famine and other world problems. When he uses it on himself, he decides to become a superhero and fight the forces of evil.
