The X-Men split into their two classic teams at a crucial moment. The Blue team (led by Cyclops and Emma Frost) go to Genosha at the invitation of the ruler Magneto, who would reveal the whereabouts of Professor X. Meanwhile, the Gold team (led by Kitty Pride) would try to dissuade President Robert Kelly from limiting the use of the mutant cure.
