Intended as a humorous inversion of an ideal 20th century family, they are a clan of wealthy, aristocratic eccentrics who delight in the macabre and are either blissfully unaware or do not care that mainstream society finds them unusual or frightening. This towering mute has been shambling around the house forever...He is not a very good butler but a faithful one...One eye is opaque, the scanty hair is damply clinging to his narrow flat head...generally the family regards him as something of a joke. Has two left feet.
