Description of Tantor:
Tantor is a major character in Disney's Live Action Remake, Tarzan. He is an South African Mammoth (Mammuthus Subplanifrons) and childhood friend of Tarzan and Terk. In spite of his large size and physical strength, Tantor is incredibly phobic and gentle. He is, nevertheless, a frequent participant in Tarzan's adventures.
