Synopsis

Around a small town, there have been rumors of a blue creature running around at super speeds. That creature is none other than the supercool hedgehog known as Sonic. He fights a mad scientist named Doctor Robotnik, who wants to destroy him for getting in his way. Meanwhile, slacking teenage gamer, Nicky Horwitz, is struggling with school, his nagging parents and just life in general. He decides to run away from home, and bumps into Sonic. They don't hit it off very well. Meanwhile, Doctor Robotnik has stumbled across a floating island, inhabited by a tribe of echidna people. Using their gullible nature to their advantage, Robotnik lies to them, by saying that Sonic is a thief, and he came to warn them about him. With the echidnas on his side, Robotnik plots to steal their ultimate treasure, the Master Emerald, which is said to hold ultimate power. With a two-tailed fox named Miles Prower, and a seemingly untrustworthy Nicky, Sonic must stop Robotnik before it's too late.

Description of Knuckles the Echidna:

Knuckles is Pachacamac's second-in-command. He wants to do what's best for his people, and will do anything to help them flourish. Very serious in personality, but very gullible as well. When Robotnik comes and tells them about Sonic, he volunteers to take care of him personally, thinking it will bring honor to his tribe, getting into encounters with him across the movie. He is horrified when he finds out Robotnik stole the Master Emerald, and used it to wipe out his race. Reluctantly teaming up with Sonic, he fights Robotnik as payback for his people. When all is over, he takes the Master Emerald under his wing, and vows to protect it against any evil.
