As Krypton collapses, scientist Jor-El fails to convince the ruling council to save their world. When General Zod launches a coup, Jor-El and Lara send their infant son Kal-El to Earth before the planet is destroyed. Raised in Smallville by Jonathan and Martha Kent, Clark grows up struggling to control incredible powers while learning compassion, humility, and responsibility. After Jonathan’s death from illness, Clark spends years traveling the world in secret, rescuing people from disasters and becoming an urban legend known as the “Phantom Savior.” Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane follows rumors of the mysterious hero to the Arctic, where Clark discovers an ancient Kryptonian scout ship. Guided by the AI of Jor-El, he learns the truth about his heritage, embraces his destiny, receives a Kryptonian suit, and takes flight for the first time. Earth’s first contact with alien life comes when Zod and his followers arrive demanding Kal-El’s surrender. Clark willingly turns himself over, but rejects Zod’s plan to terraform Earth into a new Krypton. As the World Engine devastates the planet, Superman rises as humanity’s protector. With Lois and the military aiding the resistance, he destroys the machine, defeats Faora and Nam-Ek, and ultimately overcomes Zod. The world witnesses a true hero for the first time. Choosing to live openly among humanity, Clark Kent joins the Daily Planet while Superman becomes a global symbol of hope. Mid-Credits: Lex Luthor privately launches a campaign warning world leaders that humanity cannot depend on alien saviors, beginning a coordinated anti-alien movement. Post-Credits: Deep in space, an immense artificial intelligence intercepts Kryptonian transmissions from Earth. Brainiac marks the planet for observation as its vast network begins gathering data on this newly discovered world.
