Jonathan Kent remains the moral compass of Clark's life long after his passing, having taught his son that strength means nothing without compassion. He never raised Clark to become Superman; he raised him to become a good man who would make his own choices when the time came. His lessons continue to guide Clark whenever the world becomes louder than his own conscience.
