Synopsis

When his planet Krypton is destroyed by the Coluan scientist Vril Dox, better known as "Brainiac", an infant named Kal-El is sent to Earth by his mother and father, where he is adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent and named "Clark". Years later, Brainiac arrives on Earth, and Clark makes use of his extraterrestrial abilities and takes the name "Superman", to prevent Brainiac from destroying Earth the same way he destroyed Krypton.

Description of The Man in Green (Mid-credits scene):

While by himself at the Fortress of Solitude, Superman suddenly receives a visit from a man in green. He says, "Hello, Superman. My name is Hal Jordan, and I represent the Green Lantern Corps. I'd like to ask you some questions about the Coluan you fought. I think he might be part of something bigger."
