Darkseid invades Metropolis to kill Superman. As they fight, Darkseid withdraws back to Apokolips, but as he is about to leave, he kills a civilian, causing Superman to follow him back to Apokolips. Superman is then recruited by Orion and Highfather to defeat Darkseid.
