Upon finding a lost young girl with super strength wandering the streets of Metropolis, Superman makes the astonishing discovery that she is Kara Zor-El, his biological cousin from their now-destroyed home planet. As Clark Kent, he helps Kara adapt to Earth's customs, while as Superman, he trains Kara to use her powers to protect humankind.
