The New Earth Superman visits the memorial in honor of his deceased Prime Earth self. He regrets not being able to talk to him sooner, as there were so many things he wanted to share with the younger Man of Steel. Suddenly, he hears a noise underground and goes to investigate the lower tunnels. There, he finds Lana Lang attempting to break into the younger Superman's tomb. Lana is overjoyed to see her Clark alive and well, but her joy is short-lived as she realized the Superman standing before her is not the Clark she grew up with. When she asks the older Superman why he didn't help her Clark
