Clark Kent has spent the last two years living a double life as a bumbling journalist and the greatest superhero the world has ever known. Nothing could harm the Man of Steel; until he came in contact with a strange green metal. Star reporter and Clark Kent's girlfriend, Lois Lane is investigating financial mogul Lex Luthor and his company LexCorp for embezzlement of government funds. Luthor has been spending government money designed for clean energy research on developing Kryptonite. Luthor uses the body of the nearly dead Lieutenant John Corbin to turn him into a Kryptonite-powered cyborg. Superman is not able to defeat Metallo alone, but luckily a Metropolis steelworker, inspired by Superman's work, aids in the fight against Metallo and Lex Luthor as the hero Steel.
