    Metallo is the main villian of this movie and he is empowered by Brainiac, who is a mystery figure in the narrative while Lor Zod is the secondary villian who has manipulated time in order to kill Superman at his most vulnerable. The legion has arrived to prevent this. Clark has only the most basic abilities with his time with the legion unlocking his power and giving him the strength to beat Lor-Zod who is lost in time when his time sphere explodes. The movie ends with a transition to adult Superman in metropolis. The movie has two post credits sequneces the first being Braniac having recognized Lor Zod's interveniton and encroaching upon earth and the 2nd is Lor Zod having survived his encounter and visited by a being known as the Nightwing in the void of space
