Hydro was found and trained by the Lin Kuei clan as a powerful assassin. He possessed the mystical force to control the element of water and improved his abilities a lot during his training period. Hydro was some kind of his clan's secret weapon, alongside Sub-Zero. His loyalty was unshakable. He was assigned to the elder Sub-Zero as an observer of the tournament held by Shang Tsung. However, the two were attacked by an enraged Netherrealm specter, Scorpion and Hydro was deadly injured in that kombat. He could never accomplish his mission on that island.
