Samantha Perry, who goes by Sam, lives with her three siblings, older brother, Scott, older sister, Audrey, and younger brother, Hayden and their widowed father, Paul in a condo, until their father remarries to a divorced woman named Victoria Lambert, who has four children as well, Stacey, Danny and twins, Charlie and Monica. After that, Sam's world is turned upside down, until she meets an old flame, Mark Truman, whose older brother, Ben falls head over heels for Audrey.
