Marie-Jeanne, the lonely waitress of the "Underground Café", tells us the story of the city of Monopolis being under attack by the "Etoiles Noires" (the Black Stars), a terrorist organization lead by Johnny Rockfort and secretly controlled by Sadia. In that world everyone wants to become a star and dreams of going live on the famous TV show Starmania where the hostess Cristal makes celebrities.
