An explorer and member of the Church of the Force. He helped the New Republic build up a new galactic state using his knowledge of the galaxy and Jedi lore. He's also a trusted ally to Luke Skywalker, whom he had helped find Jedi artifacts and weapons that the Empire had tried to suppress, in order to rebuild a Jedi Order. Later, he possessed a piece of a map that led to Skywalker. He passed it on to Poe Dameron before being killed by Kylo Ren.
