Following the events of Cosmic Fury, the Morphin Grid experiences a massive cosmic surge—a "Supernova"—releasing ancient, long-dormant stellar energies mixed with prehistoric dinosaur spirits. When a new threat from the deepest fringes of the universe emerges to harvest this energy, a new generation of heroes is chosen, guided by the legacy of the veteran Rangers.
