2199. Deep-space exploration is a reality and teleportation is routine. But this time something seems to have gone very, very wrong. Seventeen-year-old Jessica Mathers wake up in a lander that's crashed onto the surface of the desolate planet Carver 1061c, a planet 14 light years away from Earth. A planet that she was supposed to be viewing from a space craft orbiting above. Only now she's trapped on the planet with no form of communication, and her only company is a clone of herself.
