In an alternate timeline, Pete Townshend and The Who complete and release the triple-album epic known as Lifehouse in the summer of 1971, trying to complete the multi-media concept he envisioned for the album, he successfully convinces the acclaimed Academy Award-winning filmmaker Stanley Kubrick to co-write and direct the film adaptation of his masterpiece album with The Who, slated to release in 1975, replacing Barry Lydon.
