After the victorious but exhausting events of the previous film, Elora returns to her homeworld of Avalar. She longs for peace but finds chaos instead. The mage professor and Hunter, the archer cheetah, have inadvertently opened a portal that summons the malevolent Ripto and his menacing henchmen. They wreak havoc across the land, leaving destruction in their wake. Avalar, once a realm of harmony and beauty, is now under the tyrannical rule of Ripto, renamed Riptonia in a show of conquest. The once vibrant landscapes are now twisted reflections of Ripto’s dark soul. Elora, heartbroken by the sight of her home in ruins, suggests a daring plan to the Mage Professor. They must seek the help of the legendary dragon, Spyro. A new portal whirs to life, reaching across dimensions to Spyro and his faithful companion, Sparx.
