After returning home after defeating both The Sorceress and Master Hand and The Stardroids, Spyro is stunned to learn that all of the dragons have lost their flame breath powers due to the fireflies that power them being stolen away. Not only that, but all of the baby dragonflies that are soon to be gifted to the young dragons for their coming of age celebration have also disappeared. Spyro soon learns that this is the doing of Ripto, who is now partnered with both the Sorceress and Gnasty Gnorc.
