Picking up where Year of the Dragon left off, a new threat lurks beyond the horizon, enter Malefor, a dragon who is banished for trying to start a revolution year before Spyro's time. And having discovered the Dark Gems, now seeks to use them to create a better world. Spyro and his friends must now travel the world to put a stop to Malefor's schemes.
