Stopping thieves, rescuing civilians, and dealing with the occasional costumed criminal is challenging but exciting. Everything changes when New York's criminal underworld begins evolving. A mysterious philanthropist named Martin Li secretly wages a war against the city's crime families while simultaneously empowering criminals with dangerous new abilities. As gangs, corporations, and super-powered criminals clash for control of the city, Miles finds himself caught in a conflict far larger than anything he imagined. For the first time, Spider-Man questions whether he is truly capable of protecting the city alone.
