After finally snapping after decades of defeat (for REAL this time, according to Plankton!), Plankton decides out of desperation for revenge to call in his family to help him with his latest scheme, which involves the takeover of Bikini Bottom through hypnotizing Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. With the two superheroes under villain control, SpongeBob and Patrick must venture out to get help from Shell City when Mr. Krabbs is held hostage at the Chum Bucket.
