Synopsis

  • riotxvl Episode 2x01: “Cold-Blooded” - Peter Parker is now in sophomore year living his life as usual, just in an awkward stage with Gwen since he confronted her about a crush she used to have on him. After the Mutant events, Dr. Connors was granted more budget and a new partner to do deeper research on mutations and showcase it at a science expo. His new partner, Dr. Farley Stillwell, finds an old experiment of Connors involving lizard DNA, Stillwell convinces Connors to finish it. Meanwhile Spider-Man stops a robbery at another Lab in town. The day of the expo Peter meets his hero Dr. Otto Octavius, Peter realizes the lab that was robbed was Otto's. Octavius offers him a job, but peter turns it down. Connors takes the serum and transforms into the Lizard, Spider-Man battles him and calms him down. After the accident with Connors, Peter accepts Otto's job offer.

  • riotxvl Episode 2x02: "Enigmatic Arrival" - After Kingpin was put in jail by Daredevil, the name Green Goblin started to cross the streets as the new crime boss in town. Peter starts his internship with Otto Octavius. Octavius is working on high tech mechanized prothesis, Peter realizes they are missing some pieces because of the robbery attempt. Peter suits up and talks with Captain Stacy to find the responsible, Spider-Man gets to a warehouse were he interrogates some goons with pumpkin masks, one of them tries to talk, but gets killed by his own mask. The Green Goblin introduces himself to Spider-Man and they battle. Spider-Man takes his mask off, but Goblin flies away. The Goblin gets to his liar and decides to wait for a better moment to strike, his face gets out of the shadows and we see he is Norman Osborn. Peter gets to his house, he stays on the roof to avoid showing May his bruises.

  • riotxvl Episode 2x03: "Past Echoes" - Shocker escapes prison. Peter introduces Otto to Gwen, but gets interrupted by Shocker trying to enter Oscorp. Spider-Man gets there and battles him, but is unable to take him out. Peter talks to Octavius about Shocker's tech, and Otto tells him that he knew his parents. Otto tells him that they were agents for a secret organization they all worked in. Peter uses Otto's tech to disable Shocker’s gloves. After this Shocker tracks down their lab and tries to kill Octavius because he thinks he's helping Spider-Man, Octavius uses his mechanized prothesis to defend himself, but he only causes an accident that leaves himself fused with the mechanic arms. Spider-Man takes Shocker down and back to Prison.

  • riotxvl Episode 2x04: "Fallen Mentor" - After the accident, Octavius realizes his arms are extremely strong, so he tries to rob a lab of prosthetics to get his body back to the way it was, but Spider-Man stops him. They both battle, but Otto runs away. Peter goes to Gwen for comfort after seeing his mentor turned into a criminal. Otto decides that instead of getting mechanic pieces to solve his problem, he needs a new body, Spider-Man's body. Peter goes to the Daily Bugle to get his job back and sees that Jefferson Davis's kid, Miles Morales, is working there as a newspaper boy. Octavius attacks the Daily Bugle to ask J. Jonah Jameson where Spider-Man is, Peter suits up and confronts him, they battle and Spider-Man wins, but during the transport Octavius shows that he already had a plan and escapes. J. Jonah Jameson calls Otto by the name Dr. Octopus in the newspapers.

  • riotxvl Episode 2x05: - "Rooftop Nights" Some months have passed and Peter is still looking for Octavius since he feels responsible. Dr Octopus approaches a hit man by the name of Prowler, he hires him to take down Spider-Man. Peter gets to do a final semester project with Flash Thompson. One night Spider-Man is swinging through the city when he gets attacked by The Prowler. They battle until Peter takes his mask off, he recognizes the man but is unable to identify him, Prowler escapes. Some days later Peter goes to the Daily Bugle to hand in some photos of the fight and there he talks with Miles, Peter remembers where he's seen the man before. His name is Aaron Davis, he's Miles's Uncle. Spider-Man finds Aaron's address and tells him that Miles needs him, Aaron decides to run away until Octopus is back in prison so he can be there for Miles. Peter's project gets surprisingly finished by Flash.

  • riotxvl Episode 2x06: "Quiet as a Cat" - After the Green Goblin went into hiding, a new crime boss got a hold of New York, Joseph Lorenzini, also known as Hammerhead. Peter visits May in FEAST and uses the opportunity to see if Octavius came to any of the shelters. In Hammerhead's penthouse, a woman with a black leather suit and white hair breaks in to steal a painting. Peter is unable to find Otto, so he chats with Eddie Brock about his issues with Gwen, until his phone rings about a shooting in Hammerhead's penthouse. Spider-Man gets to the scene and encounters the thief, she calls herself Black Cat. She tells him that she was there to steal a painting when an alarm went off. They team up to take the goons down and Black Cat tells him about hammerhead, Spider-Man gets distracted and looses Black Cat, Spider-Man sees Hammerhead enter the building but decides to let him go since he's not causing death and trouble like the last 3 crime bosses did.

  • riotxvl Episode 2x07: "The Great Illusion" - Spider-Man is swinging on a normal night when a museum alarm nearby goes off, when he gets there he sees new fancy suited criminal appear in front of him, his name is Mysterio and he's trying to steal a piece of Loki's armor. Peter tries to battle him, but he gets surrounded by a magic mist and Mysterio gets away. The next day Peter asks MJ about the piece that was stollen since she did some research on it for the school newspaper. Peter finds out that the other one is at Avengers Mansion so he decides to suit up and go there that night. His research is right and Mysterio appears there, but Spider-Man enters to stop him. They fight and Spider-Man gets into a trance where he sees all his loved ones dying, Mysterio is about to escape, until Captain America throws his shield and puts him down. Mysterio fights them both, but Spider-Man realizes that his powers are fake and he uses tech to give the illusion of magic. Spider-Man concentrates and with the help of Cap they take Mysterio down. Once he's in prison, Mysterio, also known by his real name, Quentin Beck, gets a visit from Dr. Octopus.

  • riotxvl Episode - 2x08 (Finale): “Sinister Six” - After breaking Mysterio out, Dr. Octopus takes him to a warehouse where Electro, Vulture, Sandman and Scorpion wait for them. Octavius got together a group of criminals who have faced Spider-Man before and want to take him down. He included the ones he knew could control and weren't gonna slow him down. After Mysterio's illusion, Peter realized how he feels about Gwen, so he decides to tell her and invite her on a date, she accepts and they plan to go to a science symposium. Peter gets a phone notification about Sandman robbing a bank so he suits up and heads there. When he gets there he's greeted by the 6 of them, Otto managed to trick the prison system so no one knew they escaped. Spider-Man battles them, but gets beat up badly and he runs away. The next day he has his date with Gwen, Peter lies about his bruises. During the symposium Otto attacks, he placed a tracker on Spider-Man during their last fight, so he knows he's there. Peter takes Gwen to the back and he suits up, revealing her that he's Spider-Man. Spider-Man swings through the city to divide them and takes Vulture and Mysterio out. Gwen causes a distraction by overloading the speakers of the place, which takes down Electro. Spider-Man gets back to the place and is grabbed by Sandman, but when Scorpion gets close to Gwen, he stops holding back and breaks loose, he knocks Scorpion out in one punch and uses a broken gas pipe to convert Sandman's legs into glass. Otto remembers Gwen and puts it all together, he discovers Spider-Man's identity and they battle. Peter takes him down and puts them all back in prison.
