Green Goblin shows up for the first time and tricks Spider-Man into flying all the way to Hollywood by promising him a role in a movie. But of course, it’s a total setup. The Goblin teams up with the Enforcers and tries to trap Spidey out in the New Mexico desert. Things get even crazier when their fight spills into a cave and the Hulk suddenly shows up, turning it into this wild three-way brawl. Spider-Man manages to hold his own, but the Goblin still gets away. That’s basically where their epic rivalry starts, though nobody knows the Goblin is actually Norman Osborn yet.
