Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker is completely alone. With the world having forgotten Peter Parker, he throws himself into being Spider-Man, using crime-fighting as an escape from the grief of losing Aunt May and everyone he once loved. While attending Empire State University and volunteering at FEAST, Peter meets Bruce Banner and Carly Cooper, both of whom encourage him to reconnect with his life outside the mask. But Peter becomes increasingly consumed by his Spider-Man identity when he encounters Black Cat, whose own grief and reliance on her alter ego mirror his struggles. At the same time, Peter reluctantly joins forces with Frank Castle, the Punisher, to investigate the Inner Demons, a criminal organization led by FEAST director Martin Li that is trafficking and psychologically enslaving vulnerable teenagers. As Peter's obsession with Spider-Man grows, he becomes more reckless and violent, eventually nearly killing one of the very teenagers he is supposed to save. Martin Li's corruption of Bruce Banner and the resulting rampage of the Savage Hulk forces Peter to confront just how far he has fallen. Frank ultimately helps Peter realize that he is using Spider-Man to avoid being Peter Parker, while Bruce reminds him that true strength comes from choosing compassion rather than suppressing pain. In the final battle, Peter, Frank, Felicia, and Bruce unite to defeat Martin Li and free the enslaved teenagers. Peter refuses to kill Li, finally reclaiming the compassion that made him Spider-Man. In the aftermath, Peter begins rebuilding his civilian life, returns to his studies and FEAST, and accepts Carly's invitation to get coffee. For the first time since No Way Home, Peter chooses not just to be Spider-Man—but to live as Peter Parker again.
