Spider-Man: Back in Black

Spider-Man 5 takes place after Avengers: Secret Wars and the MCU's soft reboot, with Peter Parker returning to New York wearing a mysterious black suit he acquired on Battleworld. Believing it to be advanced nanotechnology, Peter has no idea that the suit is actually a living symbiote. As Peter and Ned rebuild their friendship while working for the Daily Bugle, Peter becomes caught in a massive gang war between the Maggia, Tombstone, and the mysterious Mr. Negative. His investigation also brings him into contact with Felicia Hardy, the seductive and thrill-seeking Black Cat, while his former love MJ begins dating the Bugle's charismatic new reporter, Eddie Brock. As Peter's jealousy, anger, and newly emerging powers intensify, the symbiote begins learning from his darkest emotions and amplifying them. When Tombstone targets Daily Bugle editor Robbie Robertson and Scorpion attacks the newsroom, Peter's increasingly brutal behavior finally attracts the attention of Daredevil, who realizes that something is wrong with Spider-Man. Peter eventually finds himself caught in the middle of the final confrontation between New York's criminal factions, where the symbiote pushes him toward allowing Eddie to die. Instead, Peter chooses to save both Eddie and Ned, proving that his compassion is stronger than his anger. After rejecting Felicia's offer to abandon his responsibilities and leave New York, Peter realizes how close he came to losing himself. Seeking answers, he turns to Reed Richards, only to discover the terrifying truth: the black suit isn't advanced technology at all. It's a living biological organism—and it has been watching Peter the entire time.
