Three years into his career, nineteen-year-old Peter Parker has sacrificed college and stability to balance life as a Daily Bugle photographer and New York’s masked hero. But when Oscorp CEO Norman Osborn convinces the government that Spider-Man is a menace, Peter’s world unravels. With Oscorp funding Spencer Smythe’s Spider-Slayers, arming Mac Gargan as Scorpion, and even transforming Alistaire Smythe into a twisted mirror of Spider-Man using Peter’s own DNA, Osborn launches a campaign to destroy him. Working in secret with the shapeshifting Chameleon, Norman orchestrates chaos, unleashing a giant creature named Gog and framing Spider-Man for murder. As public opinion collapses and Peter is even arrested on live television, Osborn takes his schemes global, striking a covert alliance with Victor Von Doom, monarch of Latveria, who supplies Oscorp with experimental tech and hidden resources. While Doom’s motives remain shrouded, his growing shadow suggests a threat beyond New York. With MJ, Harry, and Gwen by his side and unexpected allies in the Fantastic Four, Peter uncovers Osborn’s hidden pocket universe powered by the enslaved Molecule Man. In a climactic battle against Scorpion, Smythe, and the Spider-Slayers, Spider-Man rescues Molecule Man and exposes Oscorp’s crimes. Yet Osborn escapes, Chameleon vanishes, and Doom withdraws to Latveria, his interest in Spider-Man piqued. Burdened but unbroken, Peter swings forward, learning that true responsibility means saving lives even when the world doubts you.
