Soulless Dead, a prequel/spin-off to The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and the eleventh installment of the Conjuring Universe will take place in the Caribbean nation of Haiti under a brutal dictatorship during the reign of a voodoo tyranny François ''Papa Doc'' Duvalier and the secret police The Tonton Macoutes in the late 1960s. The new African-American male protagonist named Hakeem Lambert was introduced to the Conjuring Universe where he was threatened by the feared Tonton Macoute Gaston Perrault, a powerful witch and a torturer where he took the souls of many of Haitian people as Hakeem and his love interest Céline Babineaux have battled the wills against Perrault who has turned into zombie after Hakeem was poisoned by the powder before ending up in the Hospital at the American Embassy by Dr. Alan Murphy
