Description of Vicariously Ambitious:

Some people just don't, for whatever reason, have the desire to climb the social ladder. They may be perfectly content with their life, maybe they think that the whole thing is too much trouble, or maybe they're aware that that sort of social climbing is impossible for them, for whatever reason. Sometimes though, those same people who are uninterested or unable to do some social climbing for themselves may have someone else that they're willing to back and help get ahead.
