Description of Daddy Issues:

Stems from someone having a poor or non-existent relationship with their father. Their father may be abusive, neglectful, absent or deceased. In some cases they may be present and treat their child well enough, but may not be very attached emotionally. People with daddy issues can end up being attracted or attached emotionally to older men, men who remind them of their father, or men that have qualities they would want in a father. They could view all men as "leavers," and have a hard time loving others. On the flipside, they could also be desperate for paternal or masculine affection to fill the void their fathers had left.
