The story centered on a 12-year-old boy named Josh Pinski, who, while dealing with his parents' divorce, encounters Sonic the Hedgehog. Josh's father, Hal, is an unemployed computer expert who has developed an AI computer called the eXtremely Radical Intelligence (XRI). In an attempt to finish a school paper, Josh uses the XRI, which inadvertently brings Sonic and his nemesis, Dr. Robotnik, into the real world through the Sega Saturn game Sonic X-treme .read more
