Based on the Flashpoint comic by DC Comics. Sonic develops the ability to time travel. So he decides to go back in time to save Longclaw, his adoptive mother. But when he does this, he severely destabilizes the timeline and loses his ability to run at supersonic speed. So with the help of an Eggman who doesn't know him, he regains his ability to run fast. After doing this, he tries to go back in time to stop himself from going back in time to save Longclaw, all while being pursued by an evil hedgehog who calls himself Reverse-Sonic.
