The wise old sage of the Deadly Six, Master Zik is the group's founder and mentor of Zavok. He is extremely sharp and astute in his thought process, often correcting the other members so their plots can be more efficient. His wisdom also helps him keep the group together due to the unanimous respect he is given by the others. While he views Zavok as a son, he realizes that his decline is near after he develops his obsession with defeating Sonic.
