Ivo Robotnik is an evil scientist with a seemingly limitless mastery over technology. His goal to conquer all of Mobius makes him an enemy to humans and animals alike. Sonic has often mocked him during their battles by calling him "Eggman" and the name would stick to the point where it birthed the name of the Eggman Empire.
