After defeating Dr. Robotnik once again and Knuckles deciding to join Sonic and Tails, Sonic meets a pink female hedgehog named Amy Rose, who has a huge crush on him. Sonic also meets a near look-alike of himself named Shadow, who has stolen a strange Emerald called a “Chaos Emerald” from the bank a while earlier.
