He came from a destroyed future and went back in time with Blaze the Cat in order to destroy the "Iblis Trigger" which caused the disaster that ravaged the planet in his own timeline. Silver, Blaze and Jet Hawk were tricked by Mephiles who sent them back in time, telling them that Sonic is the Iblis Trigger and must be stopped.
