Synopsis

Years ago, Kaos attempted his greatest evil scheme yet—siphon the magic from Skylands and bring it to Earth using a terrifying spawn of the Darkness known as the Magic Eater, so he and his forces could conquer Earth and prevent its portal masters from being a thorn in his side ever again. However, the plan went awry, and it led to Kaos and the young portal master apprentices who fought alongside the Skylanders losing their magic and the Skylanders being reduced to lifeless figurines while the Magic Eater escaped into the unknown. Years later, the Magic Eater resurfaces and aims to enact Kaos's plans so it can conquer both worlds, having adopted his sense of malice with his magic, and it'll take the power of a whole new generation of Skylanders and a group of young portal masters raised up by these former apprentices to save both Skylands and Earth. ‖ fancast for a hypothetical Skylanders reboot/Skylanders 7. Description of Lightsting:

A jellyfish sensei of the Water Element who mentors Imaginators of the new Shifter class. Lightsting came from the depths of Skylands' deepest oceans after an unsuspecting Mabu fished it out of the deep, making it the first of its kind to walk on land. After reaching land, it stumbled upon a group of trolls polluting the oceans it hailed from, and grew so furious that it drove them off using its lightning powers—an act that caught the Skylanders' eyes and led to it becoming a Sensei.
