Synopsis

One of the noblest and most tormented cosmic entities in the universe, the Silver Surfer treasures freedom above all else, but has often sacrificed his liberty for the greater good. He was born Norrin Radd on the planet Zenn-La, part of an extremely long-lived and technologically advanced humanoid race which had created a worldwide utopia devoid of crime, disease, hunger, poverty, and want of any kind. His father named him after revered scientist Norrin Konn, the man responsible for raising Zenn-La from barbarism to utopia.

Description of Elmar Radd:

Elmar Radd was the wife of Jartran Radd and mother of Norrin Radd. She committed suicide when her son was young. After her death, Jartran allegedly fathered a son with another woman who named the boy Fennan.
