A group of college students from Florida is hired by an eccentric millionaire known as "The Watermelon Man" to deliver fresh shrimp to President John F. Kennedy. As they embark on a road trip across the southern United States, they encounter the harsh realities of their country, realizing that the America they believed in is not as perfect as they thought. Their journey becomes one of disillusionment and self-discovery, challenging their ideals and changing them forever.
