Shazam, often referred to as simply The Wizard, is a character appearing in American comic books published by both Fawcett Comics and DC Comics. He is not to be confused with his champion, Shazam/Captain Marvel, with the former bestowing powers onto the latter, as detailed in the 1940s Whiz Comics.
