Talion is a Ranger of Gondor stationed at the outpost on the Black-Gate of Mordor during a period of whatcheful peace. His life changes forever as Sauron rebuilds his strenghts in Mordor and quickly overwhelms the Rangers with his forces, making no prisoners. Talion, who manged to survive the massacre, now seeks vengeance against Sauron and his Black Captains who murdered his family, taking on a perillous journey into the land of shadow shaped by fate and a mysterious prophecy. Through his journey he will forge many nemesis, unlikely alliances, and uncover the secrets of Mordor.
