The Pink Carnation series follows the researches of an American grad student in England as she looks into the British aristocratic espionage during the Napoleonic Wars. Known as Flower Spies, these aristocrats followed the model of the infamous Scarlet Pimpernel to help protect Great Britain and her interests against the incursions of Napoleon and his own espionage agents.
